Dear Mum,
D here, please come and rescue me cos it's horrible!! I don't like my holiday home much!
The mean lady here has been keeping me locked in the yard for the last few days cos I am limping a bit when I walk (trot and canter are fine though!). She's only feeding me on straw and thistles and my ribs are really sticking out!
She's let me have some company, Amy's alright, but Choc is huge and pulls faces at me and squeals (it can't possibly be because I'm doing evils at her!) but at least the nasty boys are shut out. They are awfully rude to me and move me around even though I've tried to kick their teeth out! How can they not realise I am Queen Bee!
I thought you said I was going to meet a nice boy?? Well he's not shown, typical!
Got to go now cos I've spotted a thistle I missed this morning! Love Didley-D.
PS Roll on tea-time cos we get let in the long grassy field for a few hours!
PPS My poorly is nearly better now!
PPPS What time are you coming on Sat Linda?

Awwwwww - LOL!!
I love these letters home. Mair used to do some fab ones from Tilly to Olivia - looks like you're going to keep up the tradition, Luce.

But did you have to eat thistles, Zelda?? LOL!
D has settled in really well. It's a shame she doesn't get along with Isaac as they are really one of a kind!
She drives Amy around ("you will be my friend!") when Amy really wants to be with Choc ("ditto") and Choc is the only one that's happy as she's got Pants back!
Herd dynamics as per Pam! Just got to love them, hey!!

Ladies, IMHO nice boys are no FUN!!! They're usually as bent as a bottle of crisps! Go for Bev's stud-muffin anytime (at least you can eat them if you get hungry! LOL! Now that reminds me of Alice Cooper and black widows!! Mis-spent youth, I wish!!)

D is much more sound and chirpy this morning, after breakfast she marched up to an unsuspecting Amy and took a huge bite out of her bottom for no apparent reason!!! She was then most surprised to be chased out of the yard by a manic bucket waving woman!!! She did come back in 10 mins later for a cuddle though so no harm done, except to Amy's backside, poor little love!

There's little that's as awful as pony politics. Poor Amy!! And Poor D!! Although it sounds a case of 'misery loves company' I hope D will finally be able to convince the boys she's really in charge....or that they eventually settle down to some form of pecking order.

I think D has accepted defeat as far as the boys are concerned (in a Vicky Pollard sort of way!!) and is redirecting her frustrations on the poor ladies!

Oh D! I'm so sorry I didn't reply to your letter - I didn't see it!
I know you thing I've sent you to a mean lady but she isn't really you know. If your leg has been poorly then you have needed to rest it and Lucy has your best interests at heart you know. As for the thistles and straw, you know very well you used to try and stop to eat thistles when we went out for a ride so don't try and tell me that you don't like them. As for your ribs, I don't know what mirror you have been looking in but it must have been one of those fairground ones that distorts things for a joke. You know very well that you have NEVER seen your ribs so probably don't even know what they look like. I have seen photographs that Lucy has posted and your ribs are no where to be seen I assure you.
As for the nice boy, he will be coming soon and I promise you he is REALLY nice! You will find him a lot more interesting than the boys you have met so far!
I am hoping to come and see you tomorrow D but there is some very bad weather forecast and I may have to stay home in case of floods. The weather men often get the forecast wrong though so if I can come, I will and get there late morning. Please try not to take any more lumps out of Amy darling or I may have to have words with you!

LOL Lucy - fun and games down on the farm then ;D Now although Dan begrudgingly deferred to D - I would actually love to see who would come off the worst out of him and Isaac! Isaac may have the edge in terms of years and agility but I think Dan would give him a run for his money Not that I intend to bring him over to you or anything .
