Just a very quicky. Sammy came on a hit and run visit as Amy was in season and for a maiden she was an angel! No messing, no squealing, no kicking, just "yes please" and what are you messing about at big boy!!! LOL! Both times!!!! ;D D started in season today and was sort of interested, but definitely in a sort of "come any closer and you'll have no balls matey-boy" sort of way! So she missed out. Hopefully she'll be more interested on Saturday when the main man returns! She also scared me silly (LINDA SHE IS FINE!!!!) as she climbed a huge log pile whilst waiting in the yard (as Sammy was resting in the stables) negotiated a wall of blue barrels and ended up in the next door's cow field between my hedge, their barbed wire fence, and the cows in the field. She couldn't come back the way she'd come so we had to cut the cow fence to get her out, and then add posts to reconnect the wire, and also walk her up in to the village (the only field exit) and back down from the pub to my house! Fortunately she did this without missing a beat! She has completely trashed my hand crafted leather and canvas boot but amazingly I can only find a small scratch on her nose, legs seem fine. I'm so relieved but I could also throttle her!! I've had no tea and I'm shattered! Oh yes, Sammy is gorgeous and huge and exceedingly gentle!!! I almost wish I was Amy!! LOL!

Post modified to say this is Linda not Gill! LOL! Oh well, all's well that ends well. Glad D is ok but sorry she has given you more stress! She didn't have to go to quite those lengths to avoid Sammy coming again did she? Hope she is more in the mood on Saturday!
Was this all in hand then? Is he going to stay at all and run in the field as you first wanted?

Amy was in hand as Tony wants to be sure they don't boot Sammy the first time, but once okay he's happy to let them run together. He's still got a mare or two to do at home so don't think he'll stay on Sat but will next time he comes over if need be. In some respect as the hay's not made I am a bit short on fields if he's coming for a holiday as I don't really want Choc visiting him unannounced!! LOL! Diddley is no worse for the alarms and excursions yesterday (though I'll need to get a welder and a hot spanner on my field gate!) and was as good as gold this morning. I had to go to London today, got back at about 9pm and am shattered! More tomorrow hopefully.

Sammy visited Amy yesterday and is hopefully coming back today. Sadly D is not in season at the moment, so she's not been "done". Will try and tell all this evening.
