Amy doesn't seem to have come back in season since Sammy came visiting   unless I've missed it  so now I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! The big question is should I have her scanned which will cost me about £65?? If she's not in foal we can do a lot more work with her, if she is, then I'll take it a bit more leisurely! What does everyone think?? |

If you have plans for her if she's not infoal then maybe it's best to scan. Fingers crossed!

My breeding programme definitely includes scanning! It's an invaluable aid and, I think, much better to know for sure. If it was one of mine, even if not in foal I'd probably save the £65 by cutting down on feed, safe in the knowledge that she was just FAT!..........and, yes, I am thinking of Serenade  she's such a con-artist. Anyway, it's worth every penny to see that blob on the screen and know it's a new babe, gives me such a kick  Good luck, I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. |

I would, I need to know, and agree with maggie that you can arrange feeding etc to suit the mares real requirements
