Amy doesn't seem to have come back in season since Sammy came visiting unless I've missed it so now I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! The big question is should I have her scanned which will cost me about £65?? If she's not in foal we can do a lot more work with her, if she is, then I'll take it a bit more leisurely! What does everyone think??

If you have plans for her if she's not infoal then maybe it's best to scan. Fingers crossed!

My breeding programme definitely includes scanning! It's an invaluable aid and, I think, much better to know for sure. If it was one of mine, even if not in foal I'd probably save the £65 by cutting down on feed, safe in the knowledge that she was just FAT!..........and, yes, I am thinking of Serenade she's such a con-artist. Anyway, it's worth every penny to see that blob on the screen and know it's a new babe, gives me such a kick Good luck, I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I would, I need to know, and agree with maggie that you can arrange feeding etc to suit the mares real requirements
