Yesterday we sadly had to make the decision to have our wonderful border collie PTS. She was 17 years old and we had the privalege of owning this wonderful dog for 11 years. She was the most wonderful pet anyone could own, loyal, obedient and really the kindest friend anyone could know. She had cancer of the liver and has fought a long battle, she realy never wanted to give up! She was deaf, and had many lumps and bumps but was beginning to have falls and we made the decision that her quality of life was decreasing so quickly. We dreaded her dying in pain so made the decision to end her suffering quietly and with all the dignity she deserved. We miss her terribly already. RIP our special one.....

Oh Tina, I DO feel for you! You already know you've made the right decision but it will still be hurting like hell. I'm sooo sorry and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless Tess. x

So sorry to hear this.
I was told by my vet that he considered it the ultimate act of love an owner could do for their beloved pet....that has always stayed with me.
Take care x

It's sad seeing how they deteriorate with cancer. Our Elkhound had to be PTS with cancer of the spleen and liver. I still have her ashes displaye din my hall. I've never had the heart to bury them.
I hope that in time you'll smile at the memories of her.
