If anyone would like stabling for their ponies for the performance show, the yard where I keep Bea has 10 loose boxes available - well, 9 because one DalesFan has already booked one.
The cost is £15 per night DIY livery on deep shavings beds. The yard is alarmed and secure with YO on site. It's about 20 minutes maximum gentle drive from the Perf Show venue.
I could also give some contacts for accommodation in local B&B. There's a pub in the village where the yard is situated and plenty of other places around.
Let me know if you want to book a box, or need any other help.

Sue,
I may well fetch Rose up the night before. Do you know what time everything starts at the PS? And who I should contact if we need to book a stable and B&B for Adam and I.
Thanks Clair

Sue, I don't know whether there is any stabling available actually at Mill Lane, is there? FRom when I've been there a good few years ago, I seem to remember it's quite a big livery yard. Don't know if there would be any stables empty at the mo that could be hired? I guess Valerie will be putting any info like that out with the schedules.

I do believe they are full at the moment Sarah. Since it is under the new ownership and it has been modernised etc they dont often have empty stables. I dont think they have as many stables as they used to anymore, as they have demolished and re-built (very well I may add!)

Sarah - I've cleared my offer with Valerie........she thought it was a good idea to suggest as stabling at Mill Lane might be very limited, or not available at all.

Sue, apologies. I wasn't making any comment about your own suggestion for stabling, and so I'm sorry if it came across that way. Not intended at all. I think it was really helpful of you to put forward a suggestion for liverying at your place. I just thought that with your local knowledge you would probably know whether or not Mill Lane were able to offer stabling as another option for people, and that it might be worth people knowing whether that was an option or not.
The more peope and ponies who go to the show, so much the better..... even if it means filling up the stables in all the local livery yards!!! LOL. It does sound as though it'll be a good turnout for the show!
Jo, interesting to hear Mill Lane's been modernised. I remember liking their setup there anyway - might have been a bit run down, but I'd have been happy to keep a pony there, so if it's a "new improved" version now, then I bet it's just lovely.

Sarah - the set up is fantastic!
Most of the stables are now in an american barn with a window per stable so the horses can look out onto the yard/ fields or into the barn. They then have a further wooden block a bit further around. They have the HUGE indoor arena with that fantastic rubbery flooring, and 2 outdoor arena's, again with brilliant flooring.
And the best thing is - they have CONCRETE!!! I wish my yard would invest in concrete! We have dust/mud/ grass/ whatever! LOL I wish I could afford to keep D at Mill Lane but they are quite a bit more £'s than I pay now and it would be a car journey as aposed to my reliable legs!

Places are booking up fast - so if anyone is thinking of coming up and staying overnight and wants stable accommodation, please do let me know.
Sounds like there'll be a bit of a DalesFans gathering in the village pub on the Saturday night as well!! LOL
