at the yorkshire show ground, has anyone qualified for it and going? We have qualified for this in the M&M ridden and in hand, though i doubt we will be going because we have no chance lol. Only reason we qualified was beacause we were the best out of a bad lot.

Karen!!!!!!
When did Sam and you qualify??? You kept that one quiet! And, it's only 2 miles (if that) from "home"....... so what possible excuse can there be for not going?
What date's it on? Could be tempted to go along and watch (whether or not you decide to go with your pony, though I honestly think you should. It'll be great experience!). If you do take Sam, I can offer my services as poopickerupper or something else that requries not too many skills or attention to detail!

It was at moor monkton show a couple of weeks ago! The only reason we qualified for ridden was beacause there was only two in class, and 1st and 2nd always qualify. I also think you had to become a member of something which we didn't do because a friend told us there would be no point as he's not as flashy as most, and the headshaking isn't the most attractive of things lol. We will probably go watch it because some friends have qualified through jumping. Can't remember the date but will find out tomorow and let you know!

Karen - get yourself there for the experience if nothing else! I qualified last year, but didnt have the transport! I would have qualified this year for ridden m&m, and inhand m&m but as I am not a member of either of the group that hosts the show - technically I didnt qualify!! Even though we won both classes! A bit of a s**t really!

Still think you should take Sam. He's pretty flashy, handsome boy..... and I'd love to see him competing. Go on!!!

Well we should hopefully be going to moor monkton again at the end of this month, so will enter the classes again (hopefully in a pellham if we get him going in it) and see how we go again! (fran is hoping to qualify in the jumping aswell) so if we do qualify we will become a member and go! ok sarah!! lol

Good on you, Karen! I've jotted down Sun 6 Aug in the diary, but I've already entered Streak to do some dressage at YRC that day, so not sure what time we'll get finished there - we've entered 2 classes, plus asked if we can mooch round the scary dressage arena and its white boards beforehand before things get started properly. If I get chance, I'll definitely try to get to H'gate though to watch at least a bit of that show.

Nic qualified for this M&M large breeds ridden. She has a problem though, as the champs are the same day as the Dales Summer Show at BC!
She wants to do both - typical!
Go for it Fran - it will be huge experience and Sam is a lovely pony.

Oh, I've just looked athe website: www.usoc.co.uk/show_GY_schedule.htm and it's a 2 day event...... THAT explains why I thought I was getting muddled with dates. Ah well, I'll definitely be up at the DPS show on the Saturday. Not sure whether to take a look at USOC on the Sunday as it looks like it's just working hunters and no other classes. Sarah

I judged a qualifer for this at hambleton show, and qualified a little fell pony there were loads of fells in the class. I would definately go, even if its just to represent the breed. You'll enjoy it.
