First class which is WH is 10 am Maxine. I will have to get Tilly there for that. An early start for us I think.

Do you have to go into the classes in a specific order?

No, people tend to fit in where they can - for the dressage, Handy Pony and SJ. Obviously the classes start at set times and ones like the Showing you all go in together.

Oh heck! That means my first class, apart from T and T is the working hunter. I've NEVER done WH and have no idea what is involved! Is it basically just a round of rustic looking jumps? Or do you have to do anything else?

Hi,
Some of the times have been amended slightly due to the numbers in classes e.g. the handy pony now starts at 11am. If we left it until the original time to start I think we would all still be there on Monday!
The handy pony is the only class to change start time quite so radically.
The only class that starts before 10am is best turned out which starts at 9.30am but competitors in that just turn up to be judged when they are ready. It is not run as a class where all competitors enter together.

Dalesponyrider,
WH involves jumping a round of rustic fences initially. When everybody has jumped, all the clear rounds (if there are any! failing that, the top few with the best rounds) go back in together and do the equivalent of a ridden class i.e. all go round together at various paces and then give a short individual show.
Cheers, Pip

When you say a short ind show, is that a set one? Or would it be the same as one would do in the ridden show class or shorter?

Linda, I would say slightly shorter than a ridden class, walk awy from the judge trot back, straight into canter on the 'top' of a figure 8, trot across the diagonal, canter the other end of the '8' and gallop the long side, canter trot walk and halt. Salute!
