There is a one day event on saturday 16th sept at pennine view stud in harrogate (where i work). the cross country is really good and you can complete the course in your own time, and they let you take your horse to have a look at the jumps first  the dressage is be100. Its a really good friendly one. If you are interested let me know and i will book you in, you can pay on the day but cant cancel lol coz wud get me in trouble. Fran |

hope you get some Dalesfans takers for this! It really IS a very encouraging event, isn't it, going by the one that I watched a few weeks ago. The lowest jump class were really nice and little and inviting, and the whole atmosphere was very low key and supportive. And it was good having all the XC jumps in one or two fields, which made it easier to watch and also meant the horses didn't have to be superfit to go round the whole course!
Easy to find too, just on the west side of Harrogate, with plenty of trailer/wagon parking in that field.
I'm not around on the 16th, but hope it goes well. Presuming you and Sam are taking part? If so, good luck!

I dont think Sam is going to be fit enough, and all the schooling we put in has taken like 5 steps backwards since he was out of work lol. I think ill give it a miss but am defo going to support some friends. it would definately be a good one for first timers. hope some people can do it....

Oh well, it'll be nice for you to go along and support your friends and be able to watch a bit more of the event than if you had Sam with you. Sam can enjoy a day off instead!
