Sorry if I'm being stupid but my computer won't follow the link. I'm assuming there is a ride arranged for the 15th? I wish I was up to it, I'd love to ride through Thetford Forest.

Here you go:
Dales Pony Society Area 9
Thetford Forest Ride or Drive
15th April 2007
Cost £5
A gentle hack or drive through Thetford Forest. A circular route of approximately 9 miles.
Arrive at around 10am.
A hot or cold drink will be offered before the start of the ride.
Ride or drive to commence 11am. A map will be provided, ride as a group or as a pair etc depending on numbers.
A mug of soup and a bread roll will be available on your return.
Please bring the correct money or a cheque for £5 made payable to “DPS Area 9” per pony or team of ponies.
Please note
This event is only open to
1. paid up members of the Dales Pony Society
OR
2. other native pony owners who have their own public liability insurance for their pony e.g. BHS gold membership, NFU mutual policy etc. Your own society membership does not cover this event.
Can you get Harvey into a cart?

Where is Thetford Forest? I've heard it's a great place to go- they hold a western trail ride there each year.

Mandy - no, Harvey doesn't drive. There never seemed any point as I'm always on my own and you need 2 people for driving. There is a slight chance I might be in the area that day (without Harvey) so if I am, I'll let you know and pop by to say hello.

nars: Its South Norfolk and North Suffolk depending on which bit you go to. Pam: from your other post it sounds like Harvey is going through a "bouncing bomb" stage! James had a fit about the mounting block last night after we had been out! It must spring as he also "bounced" a bit!  |

Just about to set off:  Me riding Angus (Bommer), Sarah on Blue (Sowermire Shamrock), James on Craggy and Ginny on Zeb.  Somewhere in the middle of Thetford forest! (I didn't tell James I'd been out with another man  ) |

How come James missed out on the fun! LOL It looks a wonderful ride. I'd love to take Harvey there but I had a look on the map and it's further than I realised.
