I am a wreck, my nerves are shot, but I didnt fall off!!
My friend from childhood Julie has been struck down with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy at the marsden. she loves the horses and comes and helps out usually twice a week. Unfortuneately they wont let her do it at the momment because her immune system is low. We wanted to cheer her up so we decided to run a clear round jumping so she could buy herself a treat from us all.
Dorothy LOVES jumping, I on the other hand I have a great affinity with gravity and avoid anything exciting at all costs!!!!! Still I really wanted to be involved so I paid my money and held on tight. I knew I was going to have an exciting time when I saw her reaction to the jumps, her ears pricked forward like unicorn horns, she gave a little squeal!!! Right girls I said, poles on the ground time me thinks!!! I thought she would approach them like trotting poles, but ohh no!!! we did a neat little bascule at every one and gave them all about 2 feet!!! Double included. I am afraid I chickened out at the wall!!
So puissance rider I shall never be, but at least I got to join in!!!
No photos I'm afraid, too embaressed!!!

Well done - I would have chickened out before you! What a great idea to get your friend something nice. Hope her treatment goes well and she makes a full recovery and gets back to helping with the horses soon.
