It was a brilliant show, had a really good day. Saw lots of people, everyone I saw came away with rosettes. Well done especially to Nic and Aster, she was lovely and Nic did so well today! Ill let her fill you in and I hope Penny puts pics on!!!! Saturn and Gill did well, as did D & Linda, Alison and Doris too. Adamfield Flintlock took ridden champ and he was brilliant, not sure if the owner comes on here? Good to see Claire CCC, met Lesley (Fell Dale) for the first time too and I also met.................drumroll............OLIVER! he is a lovely pony Mair, he tried to slobber on me but I managed to avoid most of it LOL. Oh I nearly forgot Lucy and Issac, he looked a bit springy lol! Lucy did really well in the classes I saw. Really lovely to watch lots of beautiful ponies today and meet everyone!

Thank you Bev. It was a wonderful day, the weather was kind and everyone had a lot of fun. It was friendly and we met loads of people, some we already knew and some new ones too. Lovely to meet Lesley (Felldale) and hear about her ponies and great to meet up with the Snowden family - well done Dancer! Such a willing little mare to come out of her field and play at showing for the day! we took part in things we are not usually "into" - dressage! For something Aster has never done, we didn't make a complete hash of it, in fact I (mum) thought it looked quite good! What do I know? Nic and Aster were 8th and got a lovely pink rosette (I think for trying Nevertheless, we had a wonderfulday - 3rd inhand Mares 4-6 2nd trad ridden junior ponies 4-6yrs 1st young handler 1st young rider 1st novice pony ridden And little Maria, bless her, was so good - she travelled beautifully beside Aster on the 2hours20mins journey there and behaved really well in her class - she was 2nd - she then stood around a while until the youngstock championship after which we put her in a little electric fenced off area next to the lorry where she stayed all day with grass, hay and water. She had Doris for company on one side and could see everything going on around her. She loaded well as well, no fuss and travelled all the way home without a muff. She was a bit tired, but it was a very long day for a little girl. Anyway, a few pictures. and one of Doris talking to Aster while Nic waited for the ridden championship Well done everyone else. It was a lovely day and lovely to see such a good turnout.

One more for good measure! I was pleased for Nicola - she and Aster have worked hard and it was nice to see her with her first red rosette ever for any ridden class. She is off to hospital to have teeth out! Great she had such a wonderful day yesterday to take her mind of it a bit! Well done Asterpony and Nicola! Mum and Dad are well proud of you today! ;D

One more thing - I would just like to say and have already said (I know) well done to everyone but a few people in particular. Vicky with Waterside Samantha (who I am sure Vicky will not mind me telling you) was perfectly behaved and actually wanted to stay in the ring this show. And to her sister Kate with Felix who is absolutely gorgeous. Neither of these girls had ever done a full ridden class before and it didn't look like it. Evie and Grace - with Dancer - well done you two. I hope you carry on showing, the ring needs caring girls like you who think more of their pony than their rosette - its a lovely attitude to have. Gill with Saturn - he was in his first ridden class ever and behaved impeccably of course. And thanks for calling for Nic in the dressage test. Kate and Mr Blu - well, he is going to have a future ahead of him! He doesn't look only 4 at all. Claire with both Nell and Fergie - both lovely characters those ponies - Nell is a lovely mover and Fergie (Valerie Calls her the new go-faster fergie, so that says it all). And, of course, Alison and Doris - I love that pony! Alison, a special thank you to you for being such a good friend to me and Nicola - you have helped so much being so encouraging and well done for winning the dressage! The show was great. Lovely to see everyone.

Nic did sooo well yesterday. Glad she's got something good to think about in hospital. I was just the same when I had my op. I had a wonderful day with Pam the day before and just lay on the anaesthetic table remembering it all with a smile on my face! Let's hope Nic is still smiling! Congratulations anyway and Maria is lovely!

Everyone did so well yesterday. We had a good time although our ponies behaviour left a lot to be desired........
Rose got 2nd in the part bred and Dilly 4th in the 2 year olds.

Wonderfully said Penny. So many people we knew there were there for their first trip out with their dales and had a good day. Kate and Mr B. well kate has always worried more about him as he is her 'little one!' but they make a realy good team so come on girl get out there! The other Mr Brown (Peter /susie AGAIN) His first show and another mum that worried about it but he looked very good too to me. It does make you so proud to see your 'babies' out there and doing with super 'mums' Of course there was CCC who I did not even get to see Lucy again another worried mum who to me looked great with her two! missed Oliver and did see Mair. missed Gill and Saturn and so many others being there for such a short time only!) Valerie.

May I add my congratulations and well done to all of you at the show. I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the threads and pics and will get round to answering individually later. What a wonderful day it was and everyone looks to be having such a great time. Very well done all of you.
