Well, I was very nervous about our class at Bakewell, although Raven was as chilled out as ever. Didn't help when I found we were the only ones in the class, so had to go in the ring all on our own . It went well though and I didn't fall over or any of the other things I had been having nightmares about! And we won too - bit of a foregone conclusion when you are on your won. So very pleased with Raven and at least I have done my first showing class. Just would have been nice to have won against some competition - feels a bit of a cheat to win on our own! Will try and post some pictures later - or you can look at class 10 on the official photo website. Thanks to Debbie for all her help with ribbons and numerous other queries and to Clair and Adam for trying to keep me calm!!

Glad to hear Raven's outing went well. What a shame there were no other ponies in your class, but the whole experience of being at a show will have done you both the world of good, I'm sure........ And if you can cope with being the ONLY pair in a class, then it's got to be less daunting when there is some competition!

Echo what Heather has said, the jugde doesn't have to give you first! He looked lovely and so much better than when we first got him back, his mane and tail have really grown.

Raven is Megz's half brother. They're both out of Slaypits Rose. Can't remember who his dad is offhand though, sorry.

Raven is by Kebroyd Tobago, so he is also half brother to Flint and Aster. Actaully even more to Aster becuase Rose and Anna are half sisters!

What a shame you were the only ones, but at least you did it and have your 1st show under your belt now

Thank you for all your comments - I am glad to have done our first class, but would like company if we turn out again! Penny, Raven is working on his naughtiness level - when he first arrived he was so quiet - guess he felt unwell and sorry for himself. Now he joins in with poo picking, (nearly brained OH with the spade he had set down for a minute) - likes the noise that stamping in his food bucket makes, so is now on his third, and enjoys throwing it outside the elec. tape for me to collect and re-fill. He's also keen on mutually grooming my hair if I bend over for anything, and nearly shoved me in the water bucket the other day! I have to say though that if he turns out as well as Aster as he matures we'll have no complaints at all. And the cheekiness is really quite endearing!
