Been out again today! D is not happy about all these baths and lack of Sunday grazing!! We only entered 2 ridden classes today. The inhand classes were after the ridden, which I find bizzare as you then have a saddle mark to get rid of! Anyway, we came 2nd out of 4 in ridden mountain and moorland and 4th out of 9 in ridden horse/ pony. The judge really liked D! The only fault she had with him was that he was gobbing at me!!! I just agreed and said - hmm, yes he does! We are working on it!! I really dont know how to stop him doing that though to be honest. I am using a pelham with curb and use a flash with it to try and stop him. I whip the flash off just before I go in the ring. Should have some pics up a bit later (hope your all not sick of seeing him!) Oh - and dunce hat in embarrassement corner goes to me - I took D home, and then drove back down, to here my name been called for the ridden championships!!! Completely forgot that 1st or 2nd qualified!!! Had to go confess my sins! How daft did I feel!!! LOL Look at the mouth! How am I going to stop that!? Any suggestions anyone? And the 'mouth' again!! This is D with the love of his life - my friends dales mare!!! If you look - the mouth is open when I am asking for 'carriage'. If I am letting him 'slum' it - it stays closed!! AAARRRGGGHHH Any helpful suggestions?!!!

Congratulations Jo + D! I made the same mistake about the champs at the last show we did. I had him un-tacked and ready to load up...oops!

Well done again!
How do you find classes with only 4 ponies in? Never less than at least 12 when we are out! LOL
