Without giving away any clues - I put up the handy pony course I shall be using and judging at the DPS Performance Show in the arena at the yard today so that anyone who wanted to have a go could do so and give me feedback.
As promised I did it on Bea - I said I wouldn't ask anyone to do anything I wouldn't/couldn't do on my own horse. He did really well, bless him!
It was completed by various ponies and horses - mostly youngsters who'd never seen the like in their lives. So now I have the confirmation that it's "do-able". LOL
I'm really looking forward to it now.........

Looking forward to it Sue - I know for a fact Saturn will likely be the spookiest pony there - despite being a total handy pony star at home!

There are going to be orbitting dales ponies as far as the eye can see around North Yorkshire on the 27th!! LOL Somebody should warn the aviation department!!!! I'm more than sure that D and I will draw a crowd and make a spectacle of ourselves!!!  |

I'm positive that's why you are looking forward to it Pam! LOL! Leann - your comments go some way to encourage me. The handy pony is the class I am MOST frightened of out of all of them. I do hope there will be a sloe gin fuelling point at the entrance!

LOL Linda!! Wouldn't that be funny - everyone entering being handed the famous hip flask ;D - that could be the first obstacle! Pony has to stand still while rider takes a swig!!

LOL Gill! Actually, I think I would prefer it NOT to be part of the course thank you. That is EXACTLY the sort of thing D is likely to cart me off with! I would need someone to hold her while I guzzled. In fact, I think I might prefer to fill up BEFORE I get on! LOL!
