Our first competitive ride for nearly 2 years, what with moving/marriage/jiggered back.
I bit the bullet and entered a 20 (32km), took a friend for crew and support, a back brace and a chemists shop worth of pills and off we went.
It wasn't the warmest day of the year(!) and the start was a bit of a rally with heaps of horses all together, but eventually we got a bit on our own and settled nicely.
Finished in fine style with a heart rate of 44/48, gold, at just over 7 mph (11.36kph I think).
I'm totally and utterly delighted with him, he just gets better and better.
My back is pretty sore and stiff now, and I know I'll pay for it for the next few days, but IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!

Good effort - I'm not surprised you needed pills that's a long way. It takes a lot of fittening and training of horse and rider for that. Well done.

3 hours of trot Shaklana - and Harley can out-trot most Arabs in canter! He's fine today, had an extra breakfast and a night on the long grass so he is happy!!
