Went to Halifax Agricultural Show, took both Rocky and Tilly. Rocky won the 25 years and over Ridden ;D veteran. His first ever win in a ridden class. So he's qualified for the Veteran Horse Area Olympia Qualifier. (I decided to join him in the Veteran Horse Society) Louise rode him for me, the first time she has ridden him outside of the sand school. She did a great job even though he's probably a bit too strong for her (not bad at 30). Poor kid didn't want to do the veteran championship as she was exhausted and felt like he'd pulled her arms out of their sockets. Oh and it was his first ever big show, his eye's were on stalks at the Shire horses with bells, carriages, donkey carts, bouncy castles and two army tanks driving round the car park. But he behaved. Very proud of the old lad and Louise. For the first time he is the star, he's always had Tilly hand me downs. His show bridle is Tilly's old one. Trotting and cantering, more or less in control Rein back (I'd forgotten I ever taught him to do that) With Rosette Have to say the Rosettes were the cheapest nastiest things I have ever seen, quite surprised at such a big show. But he won £16 prize money so we cant complain.

Thanks again everyone Went to Aire Valley today for the veteran qualifiers. As Rocky qualified in the ridden last week I didn't enter him again. Guess what, he qualified in the in hand 25 plues, so now he'd doing two, Louise showed him. He got the highest mark of any veteran all day 91 ;D, so proud of him. Oh and he made the judge cry too, apparently he looked like a horse she has just lost We also qualified Tilly in the ridden pre-veterans so now they are both going. Only got these as the camera ran out of memory (I keep fotgetting to delete pics)
