LOL Linda!! I thought you were saving your celebrating for Sunday night?
Olivia, we discussed this on Sunday, didn't we? You were absolutely fine riding Tilly - Tilly was fine too. You seemed quite happy about things when you left. Its just nerves kicking in ......perhaps we could just give you a little sip of something - not a glassful, it will make you feel tons better, believe me!!!
I keep looking at Tilly, but no sign of lameness yet!! I am sure she will feign some great injury if she gets wind of what she will be doing on Sunday.

I went to cuddle Scruff on the settee and watch a West Wing DVD. Sorry - I've sobered up now and am drinking a cup of tea. I really am pleased with myself though and thought I deserved a little early celebration! I do think I ought to be allowed to do the dressage to music though! It would cheer me up no end and calm my nerves. LOL!

Thats a good idea, Zelda. We will dose Olivia with Rescue Remedy - we could also give Tilly a few drops before the jumping ......then they will both be happy and relaxed!

Oooooh - do bring the reserve supplies Zelda! And the truffles! I'll bring some flapjacks. Perhaps someone ought to set up a dalesfans picnic table under a gazeebo or something where we can all leave our donations!

Yes, dressage to music please! It's really great for nerves and even many Aff. dressage comps have background music playing. Is the dressage being held indoors and does Mill Lane have a music system? Bring some CDs/tapes Linda.

it would be great if we could have the dressage to music.............you would all have a laff as daniel tends to trot to the beat so my working trot could either end up as piaffe or a rageing bolt!! LOL olivia, you will be absolutely FINE. i jumped last year and was worried about it........until i got there! everyone cheers you on and gives loads of encouragement. there is no show i know like the performance show.......its all about enjoying the day with your pony, trying new disciplines and meeting up with good, honest people. just go and enjoy

Just watching the local news this morning about Huddersfield setting off for the rugby cup final this weekend (first time in hundreds of years they have got this far) and the rather scrummy chap on the telly said that they just had to stay calm and focus, otherwise by the time they got on the pitch they had played the match a thousand times in their heads and were mentally exhausted and flat. - Good advice I think!
