Performance Show - Superb Day!!!!!

What a great day! It got off to somewhat of a shaky start when I arrived and was told the schedule had changed and my class was due to start in 5 minutes!

Poor D has never been dragged out of a trailer so fast in all his life! No time to warm up, and straight into the ring for intermediate ridden! I would like to offer my apologies to whichever poor soul managed to sit a large buck that was directed in dancers direction at the canter round in the end! Apparently, by the time the class had finished we had sufficiently warmed up to canter round! The canter slowed, D didn't listen to mum and got a hoof directed in his face for his trouble! Serves him right! But - so sorry - to whomever had to sit it!! It was a goodie! LOL

Dressage was a nightmare! He normally goes so well! My writing at the end says - spooky pony! LOL I'll give him spooky pony!

Handy pony - what a laugh! Sue's rules were hilarious! Even down to hecklers at the side been barred!!!! Dancer was a lot braver than I though he was going to be. We had an issue with the tarp,but it was resolved - after he stamped on it to make sure it was dead!! LOL

And jumping! Well - anyone that saw that - I don't provide that sort of entertainment for free - so PM me for my address and put your dosh in the post!! LOL Cheques accepted with bankers card!! Oh - and sorry for any offensive language you may have heard!!

It was fantastic to meet lots of you - some of you again!!!! My head was spinning with dalesfans by the time the day was over. I was quite gutted that I didn't stay with D until the end presentation - but 1 x cranky OH that has just come off nights didn't seem too keen! LOL

My friend was doing the writing for the dressage judge and when I asked her last night if she had had a good day she said yes - and arnt they all just lovely people!!! Yup - and thats what makes a great day even better!!!

I have been up since 5am - when OH went to set off for work and his car keys have grown legs!!!

He went with the spare set after a lot of effing and jeffing!!! So I will have to try and find those blasted things now!! I should imagine that they have been 'scooped' with the show gear yesterday! Bl**dy marvellous! But as its BHM - and I dont go anywhere on a BHM as traffic is stupid - I will be siesta'ing at lunchtime

These men are hopeless! they can't find anything and if it goes missing it's us that's moved it! Have a good sleep this afternoon! These shows take it out of you too, it's hard work sorting everything out!

He does try, bless him! He could have just done with a couple of minutes warm up to engage the brain! None the less - I will endeavor to turn up earlier next time! LOL

He did - he is a lovely pony and Lauren does really well with him too. I love his movement. I didnt see that buck at all. LOL Wonder if he has been watching his Uncle Daniel - Karen says he always puts a buck in at shows too.

It was whomever came 2nd your right! Completely my fault!! It was in retaliation for D crowding him! Not even a pelham can stop D when he is on a roll! Hopefully it will serve as a warning for him! But probably not!

Whoever was riding has a superglue seat - thats for sure! LOL

Lauren is a lovely rider Jo! Being young helps I am sure - I often watch Nic during manouvres guaranteed to put me on the ground. LOL

Jo, it was lovely to meet you yesterday even if it was under stressed out circumstances, (Lucas/keys).
Dancer is gorgeous, I couldnt resist a little feel of those feathers.
Managed to miss most of the ridden so didnt see the buck.

LOL Lauren - it was very well sat!!!

D is one of those ponies that thinks everyone is his best friend! He sniffs them, or stands next to them for a second, thinks there buds and will try to mutual groom them or something! He doesnt twig that not all horses like the 'up close and personal approach' and gets quite offended if the tell him to beggar off! LOL

He tried to mutual groom Jay, after about a minute, Pam's Harvey would have left with no mane if he hadnt been deterred, and whilst I was stood peering in, watching the jumping (paying no attention to what he was doing!) he was helpfully grooming the horse in front of us just behind the saddle area!!! The rider, (unsure who he was!) was casually trying to flick him away LOL
