I just wanted to post my thoughts on the structure of the PS. I don't know if anyone else agrees with me but I REALLY like the fact that it is split into Novice, Intermediate and Open classes. It must create a headache of hard work for the organisers but it makes it so much fun for a novice like me. I so enjoyed the show this year but don't think for a minute I would have entered at all if it wasn't for the novice classes. I sometimes wish there were novice classes at the other breed shows for numpties like me!
Anyway, a jolly BIG THANK YOU to all the organisers who worked so hard to make this years show such a wonderful day.

I agree it's a wonderful show - probably the one show I'd be tempted to enter and I've never entered a show before, it is so friendly and people are willing to let newbies to showing have a go AND cheer them on - just fantastic

It is a fantastic show - and it's the camaraderie and support from everyone - riders and spectators alike - that makes it! No undue stress or pressure, great experience for the ponies (and riders!) and LOADS of laughs! ;D

It is certainly my favourite show. A very big thank you to everyone involved in organising and running it. I know how much hard work is involved in running a show like this and it is very much appreciated.
There is always a wonderful, friendly and encouraging atmosphere and LOTS of fun for the ponies, riders and spectators. Where else could Ali and Nikki have had such a fabulous introduction to competing? I don't think many places would have allowed dressage competitiors to be led in hand and take about 15 minutes to do a test with lots of shouting and instruction from the sidelines, even HC! Or allowed them to go round the SJ course with the poles lowered to the ground! Even Andy enjoyed the day and that's saying something!

I really enjoyed it at the show on despite....despite Jay not being 'himself'. I struggled to even get a canter out of him and his jumping was so laboured i may as well have hopped off and done it with him on my back instead! ;D I'm hoping it was just a combination of the long travel and the fact he hadn't done a wee (he doesn't like to wee in public! ) Poor lad was rather 'swollen' by the time we got home and he pee'd as soon as i got him out the trailer Will definately be there next year....hopefully with the 'normal' Jay!

I agree - it was very kind o the judges to let Charlieb and me have an unconventional go at the jumping - would never have dared anywhere else. It made me want to practise all year and go back again

Although I missed the show this year, I have fantastic memories of previous years. It is definately the only show I would personally consider entering due to the level of support from the Dalesfans. I was hoping that that poles on the floor was the actual level of the novice jumps! LOL I saw the ones that Linda & D were flying over - there's no blooming way I'd jump those!!!!!!

I also think the structure is wonderful. It gives people of all levels an equal chance. But it doesnt even feel competative!
And where else could you have that much support for jumping the size of jumps that I tackled and not be ridiculed, but cheered at the end!
A wonderful show! I am certainly addicted! Although slightly embarrased about lining up at the end without pony! LOL

It is a fab show and Nic and I love it. It is brilliant to be able to have a go and have so much support doing it - where else can you try out stuff you are not used to doing without feeling stupid, in Nic's case this was handy pony, working hunter, dressage and showjumping.
Great show - long may it continue.
