I need a new hat I cannot afford one for best and one for everyday for now and current one is getting old.
I want to have a little go at all sorts at a low level and wondered what hat to buy? Dressage, showing, TREC, eventually maybe a mini one day event, some jumping (don't hold me to having a go at all this though! )
I would like one with vents but I was not sure if these are acceptable for showing and dressage I know you can get velvet ones with vents in.
Also with a fell pony what jackets? I have a brown tweed and long black boots a collared shirt and a spotty tie - do I need anything else to have a go at the above (I know I will need a body protector)

My Harry Hall hat is velvet effect, but ventilated and smart enough to wear for most disciplines apart from County level showing. I'll check the actual model for you. It wasn't expensive either but meets all safety standards.

You could always get a velvet hat cover in whichever colour to suit a jacket to go over any hat that would be acceptable at local showing events.

Hi Vicky, there isn't a model number on it but it is black with an aluminium oblong shape at the front. It was the cheapest of all my hats and is the most comfortable. I have a blue velvet one I bought for showing but never use it, I much prefer this one.
