No pics I'm afraid of the 'action' as my photographer was ferrying Lisa to the hunter trials!!!!
But, all in all not a bad day!
Our 1st class was ridden cob. Didnt get off to a great start when the judge asked me to take off my spurs as 'she didnt like them'!!! Hmmmm - since when did personal preference come into it! Personally I would much rather nudge with the spur (Bear in mind I ride in childrens spurs which are as long and sharp as my non existant fingernails!!!) than see some one kicking hell out of a horse to get it moving. This I said in a roundabout way as I took them off! The show didnt go so well, as he was a little sluggish, and been spurless I couldnt give him a good solid poke, which normally ups his gears! We came 3rd out of 4. Partly because of the ride, and obviously the spur thing I think!
We then did M&M In hand. The class was split into 2 due to its size and I think there were 5 in the large section. We won that class. 2nd was a stunning dales filly, but I didnt catch the guys name. He offered to look in the stud books dor dancer, which I thought was lovely! Because I had won the inhand, I got to go in the championship and guess what.......................
Yes - that is Dancer, squeezed into his sash and posing for the camera!!!!
We finally did M&M ridden and came 2nd out of 6 (I think) which we were quite chuffed about!
We didnt get anywhere in the championship at the end of the day, but I didnt expect to as they put the ridden champs in with the inhand champs?!!! How does that work!!!! An inhand horse is never going to beat a ridden!!! The mind boggles!!!!
None the less - a lovely day, and a few boring pics when my photographer finally returned!!!!
And getting bathed on Saturday!!!
