Charlie's first show of the year

Phew, all went well, no tantrums

We took Charlie to his first show this year yesterday and am so pleased with him! It was run by scottish welsh pony & cob ass. but open to all breeds. There weren't many other breeds there though, we were the only non-welsh C/D in the class . We managed to come fifth but I really didn't care where we came, was just so impressed with his good behaviour, from the moment he came out of the trailer to when the pony in front was leaping around! He was a bit slow to trot up but stood really well ;D

Not bad considering he's not been out since last July and had a two hr each way drive on a wiggly waggly road.

Have tried to sort the mane a bit, still not really happy with it but it'll soon grow

Well done, he is looking great and a credit to you. It's really hard to compete against the welsh (been there got the t-shirt : but the main thing is he behaved and what more could you ask for

LOL...I'm knackered just watching you run around the ring with him...in fact, now my ankle aches in sympathy. LOL...maybe Blossom and I shall work on 'stand still' and walk instead So they have such a class?? ;D

Zelda - It's not a very nice road to do in the car so was really nervous about driving it with the trailer but we were fine and Ch stayed fairly cool! It was the only show we could sneak into before Saturday that had youngstock classes otherwise we wouldn't have gone so far!

LOL Debbie, stand and walk sound lovely, must suggest it to some shows LOL Was a bit scared actually when we first went in, my legs felt so weak and wobbly didn't know how I was going to run but managed, even if a bit too slow!
