I'm pretty new to showing...Jay and I did our first few shows last summer. We've got the 1st of this years shows next weekend, where we'll be doing the unregistered M+M and M+M working hunter. Jay had a lovely new half sheepskin lined numnah for xmas, which is black with black sheepskin. Would it be ok to use this for his classes, or would he be better without it for his classes?
Thanks Ren

I was always told not to use a numnah under the saddle for showing so never did. But a black one on a black horse will be hardly noticeable. If you can, I would do without, but thats just my opinion and I am no expert!!!

The showing numnahs we sell in the shop are black with a brown sheepskin trim or black on black and we sell loads of them, I was told that alot depends on the shape of the pony as well so if you have a good fitting saddle that shows the ponies shape off really well you don,t need a numnah, but the one you have sounds fine to me if you want to use it.
