Won't say much as I don't want to steal Shirley's thunder but I wanted to put a couple of pictures up for her. Jazz is looking stunning, he was immaculately behaved and I think Shirley has done a fantastic job with him, I can't believe her when she says she' not done showing before, she looked every inch the professional. Whenever he felt unsure at all he just looked to her, she gave him calm reassurance and he stayed calm as a result. A friend who is a professional riding instructor trained to look at biomechanics and movement just dropped her jaw when Shirley trotted him up, his movement is to die for, so loose and easy. A couple of the others looked a little tight and restricted but Jazz just flowed along in a wonderful Dales movement. He's grown HUGE amount since I saw him last and Shirley has done a good job of not trying to make him look like a 2yr old, he's just put all his energy into growth as you can see by looking at his knees in one of the pics below. I'll let Shirley tell you how it felt from her side but from the ringside it looked lovely. The whole row of us watching decided he was the one we'd take home if we could steal one The steward looks nervous as there's the escaped pony running round in the background, Jazz stayed calm and happy with his mum. I like this picture as it shows what a good relationship these two have. On the trot round Is she getting a rosette or just a chat? ?

Darn, typed a whole story then closed the darn window before posting it :stupid: Thanks Heather for the great pics and lovely words, I was so shattered last night to do anything, was in bed for 8.30 Well we got a very nice 6th place, the judge said he has great potential but a little immature yet, which isnt a bad result as his maturity will come. I dont want to force him just to get winnings, he is my special boy first and show pony second I was so proud of him, I cant beleive it was my and his first show and we did fine, he did great, Kaz will tell you the nervous wreck I was before I went in, once in the ring I was fine and really enjoyed it

Thanks to everyone for the pics And how very interesting to hear how it looked from ringside, in the ring, and ringside again. ;D Look at how much he's grown !!! I'm just in awe of his legs and way of going ~ wow!!! And the bond that's all ready there....you two will be doing truly amazing things, not only with showing but as you move on into ridden work as well. What lovely pictures - they really do show that you two have a bond. The judges comments are very encouraging as maturity will come and it's not anything you have to "do" or worry about. Congratulations!
