DPS Foal Show - April

Well am back now from the foal show - and so pleased with baby April! There was a lot forward for the filly class - about 15 I think (anyone know?). It was a very strong class I think! The judge wasn't really going for April's type so we were unplaced, but I had someone come up to me afterwards and say he thought she should have been first - which just shows that "Another judge, another day" and April will hopefully be in the ribbons

It was a great experience for her though, and a great first show as the class was quite long, so she had to stand for a while (which she wasn't too happy about, but by the end was standing really nicely). I am so looking forward to taking her out again, she was fab!

Oh Laura - she looks gorgeous. What a sweet, woolly little girl. I really like her - and that first pic is lovely.

As you say, another day, another show and she'll doubtless be in the ribbons - and no experience is wasted is it.

Grace, I wasn't saying it wasn't judged fairly, please don't get me wrong! I think Dahlia is lovely as well - was just saying that April obviously wasn't what the judge was looking for today! I too think it was a fairly judged class

Well done Laura and April! April looked fab - I can't believe how she has grown. You did a lovely show. I really like April - she's my 'kind' of Dales! ;D As you say it's all about what the judge on the day likes, and I'm sure April's turn will come!

How old is she Laura - she looks to be quite big?

Aw thanks everyone ;D I was so pleased with her, especially as I was SO nervous before hand - she was a little bit on her toes but thankfully I could manage her ok! (steering was a bit hit-and-miss though ;D ) She was SO tired by the end of it, bless her!

Gill: she really comes "up" when she trots out, plus I am short so I make her look bigger (if that makes sense?). That said, she was one of the biggest there Lol! She is 6 months - born on the 25th of April She is my kind of Dales too hehe!
