I was just looking through Laura's pics that she posted of the M & Ms, and I noticed there didn't seem to be a standard for how many of each breed was represented.
In otherwords, there was only the 2 dales ponies, but more highlands. Is it just whoever gets their qualifier and can come??

I hope the expert Showing people will answer this. I've always assumed it worked like the dressage system in that there are a set number of shows with Qualifier Classes so there is a known maximum number of finalists but any breed can get to the final. So yes, it is just whoever gets their qualifier can come.

like Pam says, qualifiers are held across the country with various sections, Fells,Dales and Highlands tend to be in the same class I think,
there is always a breed society show qualifier to make sure there is at least one of each breed there

Yep - there is a qualifier held at each breed society show; and then there are a number of qualifiers held across the country with the breeds split into different classes. Fell/Dales/Highlands are in one class together (the others are NF's/Connies, Dart/Ex/Shet/Welsh A, Welsh B's/C's, and Welsh D's) To win the ticket at the qualifying shows (with the exception of the Breed shows), the winning ponies of each section play off in the championship - the champion gets the ticket to go through to the Final in December
