Bev - I really hope you don't mind me putting this on here......
Bev brought some delicious dry roasted seeds last time I saw her - and I was stunned when she said she'd done them herself and told me how.
I got a pack each (about 100g I think - but it doesn't matter) of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and pine kernels. But just use the seeds you like best....
Heat a frying pan on a very high heat and chuck in all the seeds. KEEP THEM MOVING sll the time so that they don't burn. Dry roast them for a minute or two, then shake over some soy sauce and keep stirring. The pan hissed like crazy! LOL Just add as much soy as you like - the more you add the saltier the seeds will be. When all the liquid has evaporated off (not long because the seeds are really hot by how) take the pan off the heat - but keep stirring the seeds so they don't burn on the pan because it's really hot. Once they've cooled a bit either leave them to go cold in the pan or shake them onto a baking tray.
Take care if you taste them before they're cold - they get really, REALLY hot! LOL
Very tasty - and good for you......
