What is the best way to cook a gammon joint that is dry crued?? I brought it from the local butchers, so it should be good and didn't just want to boil it and ruin it.

If it is any help to anyone else, i cooked it in the oven. It was lovely, but next time i would use honey and brown sugar to glaze it with.

I did a ham last Christmas and I had never cooked one before but I used a recipe from Delia Smith that Linda gave me and it was gorgeous! Im going to do one this year as it fed us for ages and was so nice. It involved mustard & cloves Mmmmmm.
