This makes me What the hell gives people the right to take what isnt theirs and cause so much suffering that poor owner and such distress to the animals! Everything crossed for a safe return. Was the mare not chipped or freeze marked?

It doesn't actually say but even if she was micro chipped you still have to find her to prove ownership. This is what it said- RMS44060318383 (crime reference)
Refers to two stolen horses a mare and her foal
Cash and Bella - stolen from Hedge End near Southampton Hampshire early hours of 15th August 2006.
It is felt the foal was the subject of the theft but mare went to. It could be that the mare may be found abandoned .

mmmmm.....who can say. Nice coloureds are very popular with everybody these days.
There is a happy ending story on the Hampshire Horsewatch about a 2yr old coloured shettie going missing but found being driven up and down the road by travellers at the Beaulieu Road sales.

I could easily see someone swiping that coloured foal, he's striking. We have the same trouble here in the US with the paints getting taken. I do hope they are able to find both. I feel the same as Jo about this...makes me hope whoever nicked them has their fingers fall off !!!

This one's a fairly older listing that I found in Horsey Chat before we had this valuable forum. I've moved the thread over in the slimmest of chances that someone might have seen the mare and foal...realizing of course that the foal would have matured by now.

Makes me mad too. They are family! The west people were hung for stealing a horse!
