I'm in Cheshire. Whereabouts is the pony? Is it from a yard, or private sale? (PM me if you'd rather)
I'm afraid I probably wouldn't be much help at knowing what to look for/what to avoid...i got Jay after i fell in love with a scruffy, hairy, gangly beast in a field that looked like his head was too big for his body. He turned out to be a beautiful boy in my eyes though!
