Dan has made the front cover of the Native Pony Magazine. I was surprised to get a phone call from Brian to tell me the great news. It has made my day, and I sure needed the boost. Check out the Native Pony site: www.thenativepony.com to see the photos!

Thanks Gil. I have to owe that shot to the husband! It was me holding the lead rein so I can't take the credit!!!

It is BRILLIANT! The first thing I said when I saw it was 'who is THAT Dales?' and it was Dan. I get the magazine delivered.

Thanks everyone. I was so excited for Dan. I called his breeders to let them know as soon as I got the call to tell me. My copy will not be here for a week or so. I have got to call the Native Pony now and get a copy sent to his breeder as they should be more happy than I, they are owed the congrats as they bred him. This all came as a total surprise that made my day yesterday.

Great photo Anna - Tommy and June may have bred Dan but you and Randy have trained him to do that trick and have him looking really well, so congrats your way too!!!
Out of interest, how do you train your stallions to go up on command? Would love to know...

Thanks Helen. I trained a few of my horses to rear on command. Dan has gotten so good I can just point up now, and he goes, but has never tried to rear under saddle. It is fairly easy to do, but I would have to phone you with details, I hate typing long writings
