Everyone keep their fingers crossed for us this morning.....I had to put the elastic hindleg straps on Blossom's new coat. LOL, I feel like holding my breath as well. Her other blankie was totally sodden this morning, and yep, we're supposed to plunge with the temps again this afternoon, going back into iceland again. ....sigh...why can't it be a decent snow? Anyhoo, as the new blankie is slightly large, I put her extra surcingle in place and then I watched as the wind blew it up and over her bum again. Then I noticed the "D"s for the legstraps are a lot higher on this model. Hmmmmm....well, why not give it a try? So she's clipped in. She wasn't overly keen on the sensation (and yes, I've looped them once round each other to keep the straps from resting nonstop on her inner thighs), but she didn't go ballistic on me. Poor girl's a bit worried looking what with being wet and the wind blowing nonstop. I stayed out with her well past breakfast time just to give her some comfort. Now all fingers tightly crossed she stays sensible with it!! I'm already thinking of ways to sew fleece covers for the straps if she stays okay with it. Debbie bear artist and blankie mender... ;D

Knock on wood, she's doing great. She's getting ready to have her nap, so she's all sleepy, but she walked out of the field shelter, and didn't seem to mind the wind tugging at her coat.

;D Her nighttime check, her blankie is in one place ~hurrah, much rejoicing. And she's toasty warm underneath. She did jump a bit when I rested my hand on her inner thigh. I wanted to be sure it wasn't soring, but she just looked round, realized it was me and went back to eating. I'm sure she's had some strange new sensations from the straps this afternoon, but all in all they've kept the blanket a lot more stable on her in this horrific wind. I'm glad for it too as the weather's been positively awful.

They are the best for keeping rugs secure, and the elastic ones are so much nicer as they 'give' a bit. Glad it is working out for Blosson Debbie!

The blankie is still in place this morning despite some truly nasty winds. I think its starting to rub her inner thighs though, so fleecey covers will be created for the elastic. No way to I want that to rub her fur off back there!!
