Well I've been promising you some pictures of the big fella for ages Debbie! Hasn't he grown?!? He's at an open show on the 2nd March, then in the working gundog class at Crufts on 7th March. This was us practising his 'show pose'. And a couple from his last training session

My goodness he's grown!!! Awwwhhh....he's very cute I love that last pic of him with his retrieval dummy. What a happy chappy! My goodness, does he stack that good naturally?? He's got some great conformation working for him in that first pic. And hey, he's quit climbing your shoulder long enough for us to see that Ahhhh, the joys of showing a puppy. ;D

He definitely has to be in the mood for stacking. Sometimes he's perfectly well behaved and others he's very fidgety still, but he's definitely improving the more we practice. We've got our ringcraft class tonight, so he'll have plenty of distractions there. Its not long now until the beginning of March...eeek!

And another one, where i think I got his back legs in a slightly better position. I've sent the pictures to a GWP breeder that I met up with a couple of months ago to get her advice on him. She showed me how to stack him and how to strip his coat to best show off his outline. Hopefully she'll be pleased with his progress.

Yes we're showing him at Crufts. He's in the working dog classes in the BASC gamekeepers ring. Not in the 'proper' breed rings this year, but if he does well then fingers crossed for next year!

I think you're doing a grand job with him LOL, the fidgeting is still mostly because he's a baby, and he's certainly getting the hang of it. What'dya think of the handstripping? ;D

The stripping certainly makes your fingers ache! I think (I hope!) he's all finished now and that I followed my instructions correctly! lol I'll soon know when my 'mentor' sees the pictures, as she'd definitely one who like to speak her mind ;D

;D Yes, but you learn faster from mentors like that.
I loved the handstripping, but only played at it. It sure gives the coat an entirely different texture.
