I don't understand Row if it's stretched how come it's gone to being a narrow fit - surely it's the saddler's stuffing that is wrong, he must have put to much in. I would have thought that the saddler should have looked at the fit before he restuffed it and then after to check he had put the right amount in

I don't get it either!! I'd be taking it to another saddler, even within the same company if needs be to get a second opinion. I don't understand how it can be stretched and then suddenly too narrow??

i had the saddle made for dan and should have had it stuffed after 6 months but i didnt.
so the stuffing as flattened out and so the leather has stretched, so more stuffing had had to be used. if you see what i mean.
iv picked it up and can see what he means, hes used the origanal template to try and get it back to how it was but because of stretching i can see its made it a bit narrower,he thinks it will flatten down and be ok.. if not hes going to widen it for me..
does that makes sence.?

It doesn't sound as if your saddler is stuffing the saddle to fit Dan in that case, more like stuffing it to fit the leather which can't be right I can't quite see how the leather could have stretched so much, I've never come across that in any saddle I've had. Is it a well known make? Perhaps the leather was faulty.
