I've been giving Prince some HI Fi lite to keep him happy (and away from the gate lol) while Daisy has her feed, the other day I put too much water in it so tipped the excess out and was amazed at the colour of the water, I'm now wondering just how low sugar Hi Fi Lite is, pic below  |

If you soak plain hay for any length of time it will turn the water brown too!

Yes I know, this was only poured on stirred then poured off, just thought it was interesting as to how much came off  |

Hopefully the brown was mainly from the lucerne! I did once buy a bag that had too much molasses in and got it replaced. It was quite obvious from the smell though, never mind the colour.
