Folly makes sure she does not starve in this snowy weather. She goes round all the piles of hay in the field, and helps herself. All the other ponies are kind enough to let her - even Molly, who guards her food with her life!! Pics from this morning. Folly giving Tilly a hand ... Helping Oliver - who has somehow wrecked his rug even further, during the night. It will fall off before long, there is more holes than rug

Just a note to say I did put Olivers leg strap right - he had somehow stepped out of that too, overnight!!!

I have one like that too, except she is not as polite as Folly and tries to drive all the other ponies off every single pile of hay! Luckily she's not very fit and gets tired of being bossy fairly quickly.
That's possibly the most trashed rug I have ever seen still hanging on it's occupant, lol.

Harley had the same style of fly rg last year.....must be the trend for the faashion concious Dales gent!
We had snow then it went. then it snowed again, then it went again. Then it snowed again and now it has gone - again!

Oliver says can he get a prize for the most trashed rug, please? I cannot understand how he does it, Tilly keeps her rug nice!. Oliver has "mislaid" two headcollars in the field recently. Yesterday a neighbour told Rick there was some "horsey things!" by the stile at the top end of the field. Rick went to look, and yes, hanging from the stile were the missing headcollars. Oliver must have left them there. Given the gale force winds we have had, its a miracle they were still there.
I have two new rugs but am not putting them on Oliver while he is in that field, as it would be a shame to have those wrecked as well.

ROFL @ Oliver's rug! At least it's still on him - I found Saturn's in a heap in the middle of the field and gave up with it. Luckily his coat's grown back quite a bit. I'd put the rug on new at the start of the winter and by last month it was torn to shreds - mainly where all the fastenings are There's no chance of Folly going without is there! ;D

Oh oliver- just look at that rug- Nancy used to destroy hers but luckily she grew out of it eventually- she can still take her stable rugs off if she gets too hot. She takes her under rug off. you find it in a heap- top rug still in place and under rug with fastenings atill fastened on the floor- we have checked and no-one is taking it off for her of putting her top rug back on. most strange.

How lovely they are to cheeky Folly! I don't envy you the cost of replacing Olivers rugs!
