Vet came out again and she was not as worried as the farrier, she said she had seen far worse survive! She fitted him with some styrofoam boots which seem to make walking a lot lot better for him. The poor boy has developed ulcers in his mouth now from all the bute so have changed him onto danalon which he will have happily in his feed, so that is good news. She also took bloods which shows the liver enzymes are reducing!!! yay.... I know it will be a long long recovery but I do think we will get there eventually.... Thank you to you all for all your support, advice and vibes you are helping enormously.

That sounds more positive, and at least the boots are giving him some relief.
Come on Curly, keep fighting!

His skin is breaking down quite badly, he has big sores all over his legs, but no where on else on his body! I have bathed in hibiscrub and put wound cream on. I guess its the toxins coming out? I have finally sorted out his food! He is now on Hi Fi Lite, LoCal and Speedibeet. He is also having restore, immuplus and globalvite! phew, think its all covered....
