Went down this morning to find Quest very unhappy and suffering with colic. He's obviously had a very rough night and was just standing looking miserable and telling me his belly hurt. He's now gone and laid down which is not a good sign. I'm waiting for the vet now - hope he comes quickly.
Quest has never suffered from colic in all his life but he is 27, has Cushings and very prone to laminitis so I've made the decision to treat him at home if we can but I won't put him through surgery or send him to one of the vet hospitals...........
Please send lots of DF vibes for Quest.

Oooh as many vibes as I can muster winging their way to Quest.
Fingers crossed the vet can help get him back to his usual self quite quickly.

Vet came very quickly and gave Quest a thorough investigation (both ends and Quest was an absolute star throughout). Vet couldn't detect any impaction or signs of twists but the very high heart rate indicates he is in serious pain.
He's been given an antispasmodic even though the vet doesn't think this is the problem plus some very strong pain killers and I now have to wait and see. Poor Quest is such a sweetheart. He just wants me to stand with him and whisper in his ear.
He does seem a bit brighter now so fingers crossed. Keep sending DF vibes please.

I hope Pam won't mind me doing a quick update for you as I know she is so busy with Quest at present. I have just spoken with her and Quest needs all your healing vibes. He seemed to rally a little after the first vet visit, but has since worsened and I believe he is struggling to get up. Pam was on her way back to him when I spoke with her and she is waiting on a second vet visit. Stay strong Quest
