Dalesfans Foal Tally 2010

The running list was popular last year, so I thought I'd do it again. Last year we had 23 purebred Dales and 5 non-Dales. Don't think we'll get that many this year but it's nice seeing the list grow


So far we have : 8 Dales fillies, 9 Dales colts, 1 DalesX filly, 1 DalesX colt, and 5 non-Dales fillies.

please add Nipna Herb Robert, a son for bob and clemmie and full brother to Laura,s Harry. He has grey rings around the eyes so looks like bobs third grey son out of three foals.

Back from my 6 days holiday of solid rain in Cornwall so I'll update the list. What day was the brown filly born Julie - any name and is she a purebred or partbred Dales?

thursay,18th march. a beautiful purebred brown filly, very special as the mare was put in foal by the late Charlotte Wade and has been named [prefix which i cant remember]mischief as this is the name Charlotte wanted.A small wood was being planted that very dayof mischief,s birth in rememberance of charlotte so couldnt have been more fitting.

That's a lovely ending to a tragic situation. I remember reading the tribute to Charlotte that her Dad wrote in the Despatch. I am so pleased they have a beautiful filly in memory of their daughter

I am so pleased Charlotte's Maddy had a filly. She was going to be called Mickleber Mischief. I remember it was printed in the Despatch and as Charlotte didn't live far from here, I remembered the name too, it kind of stuck.

The tally is building nicely already, I can already tell ours will be colts, the fillies are in the main coming first again

Lol - same here Penny. Wilf is running at 5 colts to only 1 filly. If we get a filly this year I think I'll faint! I am so convinced we'll have boys again, we haven't even thought about girlie names

Not that it matters really - fingers crossed for healthy mares and foals for everyone. Who's next?

we are awaiting lottie which is giving us nightmares at present.I would actually like to miss her foaling and just find it but we are so on edge we are watching her all the time.peggy and cherry are due next weekend.

we,ve had the vet in tnight to check her over as nerves are getting the better of me.the cervix is opening and babe is facing the right way this time,thank god. we are staying up now as she,s really agitated.[already had one glass of wine]
