LOL Helen, he has been a "secret" because I didn't want to tempt fate. Rhythm sadly lost her filly last year - poor thing lived for 16 hours as she was born too early and obviously wasn't mature enough. She would have been called Cadence as its a musical term to fit in with mum's name. So, when I knew Rhythm was in foal again, it got me thinking about musical names for a boy just in case and Lyric was the first one I thought of; then a friend had a fell foal and used that name for him, but I don't think she will mind if we share it.

It's a lovely name ..also, "up" for Alison's new Caphouse filly foal

Lyric is not a colt, he is a filly. Sorry Helen! There will more than likely be a name change too, because I cannot reconcile Lyric as a girlie name as I have had it in my head as a boy name for so long. That will teach me for being quick with a name

List altered. Can you apply this sex change technique to my two foals please Penny Apollo was ordered if he'd been a filly. Now he is homeless. Please send sex-change vibes this way asap. Looking forward to hearing her new name. How about Highclose Mystery

Helen I cannot believe you thought of Mystery too! That is what we are thinking, so I think it has to be. She is a pale silverr colour, so we will probably use Misty for short. However, having been once bitten naming too soon we are trying it out! Clever Helen I wish we really had the talent for changing sexes of ponies - it could be very useful. To say I am chuffed is an understatement especially as this filly is as near identical to her sister we lost last year as is possible
