I'll send Pam a text and post on here as soon as it's light in the morning. In the meantime - lots of "go away fog" vibes here. It's been beautiful today.

I was down that way this morning and although a bit patchy in places it was lovely! Alfie's ready and raring to go. Fingers crossed the fog is more like mist rather than heavy.

Thanks Sue. I keep checking the met office web site and the fog forecast is getting worse rather than better. Do hope they are wrong.

The Vale of York can hold fog for a while even when it clears on higher ground. Fingers crossed.

Does that mean its off? We'll be setting off at 8.15 so will need a definate one way or another. It's foggy here too but I don't mind driving down if its on. I'll PM you my mobile number just in case. I will be able to check messages but not post on my phone once I leave the house so holding my breath & crossing my fingers

It's still on! Now it's fully light the visibility limited but not too bad with care. Thick mist rather than pea soup!

Penny and I had a lovely time on our steady hack, despite the fog. Both horses were good as gold. We did come across a very scary cyclist who loomed out of the gloom straight towards us and neither of the horses liked that one bit! Woooooo - spook! We also saw a deer, which made Bea's eyes pop out on stalks.
The main ride looked magnificent riding out and I think they had a good time as well judging by the happy smiles.

Really hope everyone had a good time today. I was ponyless as unfortunately Alice came in from the field yesterday afternoon minus 2 shoes and farrier could not come. SO, thought I'd bring Tink, but she came in with a limp - mud fever on her white hind she's had it a while but I thought it had cleared up. So anyway I was giving a lift to friend Judith with Ridgelane Sam so we went off to pick them up. The weather was foggy, and it barely lifted all thru the ride, but at least it was not raining The ride made good pace and soon left us walkers behind. We missed an arrow and ended uo god knows where, so cut across an empty field to the car park (which we thought we were miles away from! LOL) We sat and had tea, cakes and bacon butties til the riders got back ! Thanks again to everyone who attended.

Thanks to everyone for coming and especially to Sue and Bea for babysitting me. I am so chuffed I came and although Bea and Joanne didn't like the odd shaped cyclist I did stay on and kept going. Bea had to be very patient and keep waiting for Joanne as she was using the excuse her legs were shorter than his. She was a star! Glad you popped in too Lucy and Steve, good to see you looking better x Anyone got any tips for what I should do to ensure I can walk tomorrow? Joanne is mega wide
