we have several windows with amazing views. Our farm is located in an amazing place, right at the base of Tillamook Head. If I look in the one direction, it's only 2 miles to the Pacific ocean (not visible, but I can see the seawall coming from there), and to the other I can see Saddle Mountain which is like having my very own Lonely Mountain. The views from Tillamook Head are amazing, gorgeous pine forests and vistas over the mountains. We're very lucky to have found this place.
Mister almost didn't make it in 2012. He started with a scratch from a cat fight back in Feb and by April I realized it was only closing, slightly mending and then the abcess would rupture and it would start the whole cycle again.
My vet did surgery, sent Mister home, twice. The wound continued to grow and be scary and awful. Mister had to live at my vet clinic for almost two months and we had to culture the wound to find antibiotics that would work against it. It was a very aggressive staph infection and Mister's vet file looks like a New York telephone book.
Mister used to be an outdoors cat, but he spent most of 2012 at the vet's or in a small bedroom in the house. I think he managed a little outdoors time overwinter, but when we moved here in 2013, he had to become a full time indoors kitty. This place is beautiful, but there are way too many predators and we are located along the highway. Clearly he's decided the sunroom was a good trade as I've heard him purring here more than I ever heard when we lived in Missouri.
I found links to the threads for him if you'd like to read
