He's had a week off work - more than a week - and he's still not right on that near hind, but it only shows on a circle at trot - on the straight he's fine.
YO is going to watch me lunge him tomorrow and assess it for me and we'll talk about what to do for the best.
Pleeeeeease get well soon, Bea. Gill's coming up on Thursday with Saturn for a few days and we had all sorts of fun things planned - including a beach ride. Actually, a paddle might do him good as long as he's sound enough to travel and we don't do any hoolie-ing.
Speaking of which - when I turned him out he went for a major hoolie across the field to his mates, bucking and farting and galloping flat out. Can't see that he's in any pain, if he's doing that! He didn't pull up lame......
I'm confused too.......joining Linda!!

Oh no, poor Bea. I was hoping he would be completely recovered by now. At least you know he's not in pain but is is so frustrating when you can't pin point the problem and so can't be sure of the best way to deal with it. Sending lots of hugs and healing vibes.

Oh poor Bea, hope hes ok soon Sue, actually a paddle in the sea might do him good. Iv read the story of Red Rum and he was sold as a demic and his owner took him to the beach every day and he became sound. They said it was the salt water that did it. Good luck for a nice day out.

Poor Bea, hope the vet can get to the bottom of it and it's not serious. Don't worry Sue if he can' t be ridden, we'll still find things to do! Not sure if Saturn would be brave enough to go the beach on his own though LOL - mind you if one of us is on the ground he might be okay?
Fingers crossed for Bea xx

Thanks Gill. I'll see what the vet says tomorrow. I'm still hoping that he'll agree that a paddle will do Bea good - although a long gallop on the sand might be out. I'll give you a ring tomorrow and see what he says.
Whatever - I'm riding another horse for our lesson on Saturday. He's called George and he's one of Gill's eventers as well as one of the school horses - he's gorgeous, if a little challenging to ride and super-speedy-whizz over jumps LOL I'm looking forward to it (but don't tell Bea).

Maybe I should ask Gill if she can school Saturn over some jumps! I love speedy horses that take you over - which Saturn is NOT ;D
