I'm doing research into arthritis now - might start a new thread.....
Bea's glands are up today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't mean that an infection has got into the fetlock via the nerve blocks. The vet did warn that it can happen, even though the do the injections in as sterile conditions as they can it occasionally happens that some dirt gets in. He's OK in himself and doesn't seem to be feeling poorly, so hopefully it's just a reaction to having the treatment and it'll settle down.
Thursday at noon is our next milestone when the vet will give him a hydrocortisone and hyaluronic acid injection into the fetlock joint. Poor Bea.......

I'm glad that you finally have more of a positive diagnosis Sue, and can at least try to make Bea more comfortable. The YO on a previous yard I was at had this with her warmblood and he kept on working for ages, she used to swear by cortaflex (although it's very costly). Fingers crossed he comes sound and is not affected too badly

Haven't had the chance to see him today yet, Linda - but I'm sure Gill would have phoned me if he was hopping lame or poorly. I was hoping to call in after work - but have got an emergency meeting re a school now!! I'll still try if it's not dark by the time the meeting finishes.
