I'll take some pics tomorrow morning and put them up, but tonight while I was waiting for Apollo to finish his food I decided to see just how thick the ice was in the field - and it stood up to me no problem!!
I had a great time skating in my wellies - executed some pretty good swoops and turns too LOL!
The ice is about 20 foot across in a sort of circle = perhaps I could open it up as a tourist attraction!
It is so sheltered in that field, lovely in the summer and good for late grass, but boy, does it hold the frost in a cold spell!!

Blimey, that is a big frozen lake! Hard to believe it is so cold up there - it is really mild here. It does look strange though, the ice and the bright green grass.

Gosh, where abouts in Scotland are you?  Didn't think it was that cold!!!!!! We have had nothing but rain after rain here in Cumbria.  Colder weather on the way, I believe!  |
