I think Tyne Riders were about £48 - I really like them for winter but cant wear them in the summer. Steve has the little ones (cant spell jodpur?) and he said they have been great during the summer.

I recently bought a pair of tynes after years of living in hunter wellies and I wish I had discovered them years ago! They are brilliant, really comfortable, warm and supportive for my dodgy ankles too. Love them!

I've got the muck boot classics, and Sarah's got the Tyne riders. We've had them nearly 2 years now and hers are just starting to wear on the inside of the calf because she rides in them so much. She also says that they support her ankle well which she needs after she broke it. It can get quite painful in normal boots.

I have a pair of the classic muck boots in lovely baby blue LOL!!! I do roll mine down too so they have creased but i love them. They are superb for us ladies with slightly larger calves! No experience of riding in them though i stick to my Mountain Horse short boots and chaps.

Well, I went and tried a pair of Tyne muck boots on today - very comfy! I am almost sold on them now. They were £55 in that shop though, reckon I'll get them cheaper elsewhere....
One thing though - do they grip well? The soles didn't look all that good for slippery conditions and if I did buy some they would be all round boots, for feeding and working animals as well as riding.
Really liked them................. There was a rather nice purple boot there too....

Jane - I live in mine! The Tyne boots have great grip even in the wet mud. I find them better than normal wellies becaue you don't get great big clods sticking to the soles. I've not had a problem on snow and ice either. They are brilliant for general work around the farm aswell as riding. In fact, you better get 2 pairs!

That's it. Going to get some. Found some at another Ag merchant for £44 plus vat, but they always give good discount so I reckon I'll get them for about £47, which is as cheap as any I've found on the net, plus I'll have them straight away!!
Edited to say I must have looked like a mad woman in the shop - I have on some rather loud trousers from Zimbabwe (Zimbabalooba trousers) and had the muck boots on over them!! They stuck out like some incredibly old-fashioned pair of jhods!!

Jane, that is one of the wonderful things about these boots for me - narrowish at the heel to support you yet loads of room at the toe end for all my distorted toes.
Zelda - that's a useful website. Not seen that one before.

These Muck Boots sound really good, I've never heard of them and never seen them at the saddlers. I'm on foot all the time and walk through the fields, and its really muddy & wet etc in winter, and wonder if they would stand up to that? I have worn Mountain Horse Stable Muckers for years for this, but they are short boots so my calves get cold, and my socks get caked in mud! (What a yukky sight!). Worth a try I think, ta! Lynne.
