Deffinately worth a try! They are very tough and WILL stand up to your field work etc. Lovely and warm in winter and extremely comfortable. I should be on commission!

Thanx for that, they sound like the boots of my dreams! I go through boots like no tomorrow and I dont like spending all day in wellies - too cold and not enough grip. I'll get on the website now......

Joe is interested in a pair of these but just for general use, not for riding. Has anyone a pair of the Esk or Derwent ones?

I keep telling Tom to get a pair of the wellies, my little short wellies (Ribble) are nice and cosy the only thing I have against the Ribble is the tread is not very grippy

Just re-starting the Muck Boot Appreciation Society - I have now invested in a pair of PURPLE Tack Muck Boots for working in the fields and feeding etc, they are wonderful!! So, so warm and comfy. And they fit under bootleg trousers so as long as I splash in a few puddles to get the **** off I can wear them for work and no-one knows I've got my wellies on!!!
They were £41 - worth every penny.

They are a lovely rich purple, very attractive for a welly!
I got them from Harbro, our agricultural merchants. They have taken over the world up here, but I'm not sure if you have them down your way yet though Zelda.
Anyone who stocks Muck Boots should be able to order them for you though

I have a pair of Muck boots and wear them for mucking out and yard duties but do not like them for riding in, although they are warm in the cold weather and do keep your feet dry. The first pair I had split after only a few weeks and these were replaced. The 2nd pair also split, in the same place, where the rubber joins the neoprene, and these too were replaced with the newer design. They are very hard to take off, I find. I much prefer the winter riding boots made by Mountain Horse and Robinsons for riding in during the winter and the Muck boots to wellingtons for working in. I know lots of people who do think the Muck boots are great. Everybody is different.

I find they are very comfy and warm, but the tack are lethal in the mud! No grip whatsoever, which is a real shame........
