How do I get ride of VPL in breeches/jods, particularly of the beige colour. I have a pair and the VPL and other lumps and bumps are quite 'seeable'.
How should I get round that?
Also, I need a reccomendation. I've got a few local shows coming up so need a pair of decently prices breeches/jods, beige, for general showing. Any ideas?

We had a very long thread on VPL on the old DalesFans Board two or three years ago - it was hilarious! Can't remember the conclusion we came to though.....
I'm a bit of a convert to Loveson Gallop breeches at the moment. They're lightweight enough for summer, very stretchy and comfortable round the waist. I think they do them in beige.

Personally - I dont worry about the old 'vpl'!!! Everyone else has them as well!! LOL And if they are looking at my a** - its their own fault if they dont like what they see!!! There is always someone that looks worse that you - seek them out and stand near them!!! How awful am I!!! LOL ;D

you can opt for the cheesewire ......LOL......... OR a pair of lycra cycle shorts apparently do the job and don't cut the blood supply off just as much as the cheesewire does! LOL

The thong is a bad idea for riding!!! BIG PANTS are the way forward!

I used to laugh at my grandma's!!! But, I can see myself heading that way!!!! I don't hang them out on the line yet though!!!
You can get the shorts style ones from M&S or Debenhams which are good!!!

BIG BIG PANTS ;D I bought some by mistake dont usually wear bush whacker belly warmers but they are much comfier to ride in and you dont get that half a bum cheek hanging out either side thing. Plus your bum doesnt try to eat them either!!!

LOL! I don't know if my bum ever did recover from trying to ride with what was the equilvalent of dental floss disappearing up it! I certainly FELT permanently scarred!
Shorts I just find the legs roll up.
My vote goes for big pants - Sloggis or suchlike.

not that i look at everyones a*** but there is one slim young girl on oy and i noticed when watching her lesson one day that she had a thong /or gone komando (sp) i was really surprised to see the 'wobble' as she went past. gosh i decided never to go there - if thats what the rear end looks like in a saddle at 20, god help us in our 40s i think big nicks, colour co-ordinated or sloggis are the best bet.
