Just a suggestion and only because we had a coloured cob stallion stollen early this spring.
Contact ALL Ports with her details and photographs.
You could phone Defra and ask for details of Ports/addresses/faxes/phone numbers and possibly an email address for each.
We traced our stallion back to Ireland. Needless to say, we did not get him back and only because the people that had taken him were to scary to deal with.
I hope you get her back Vicki.

I do worry about that with having Lucky a coloured mare I always think they are more likely to be taken I hope she finds her - there has been a sign on the roundabout near us about 2 coloured missing as well.

I do hope they find her, Gina, Im so sorry you didnt manage to get your stolen stallion back, you did well to trace him as far as you did. So many of these cob coloured end up in USA I believe. I really really hope this one isnt one of them, june is a long way away now.

It must be heartbreaking to have a horse stolen. I adore coloured traditionals, but they do seem to attract the theives given the prices they command abroad. I hope the owner gets her back, she looks lovely.

Mary, we had the police come round to my farm, they checked the area the horse was stolen from and what we found was, the furthest field had some 40ish mares and the stallion. They cut all the fencing down and ran a number of mares through the gap they had made, the stallion followed to recover his mares, but the trap was set - we only found out this had happened as the mares they had ran through the fencing and had made there way onto the A466 - the mares came up the Pitch and we then got phone calls.....very early hours saying we had some escapeees. We may not have noticed initially.....and could have escaped our attention for a number of days.....they run some 150 acres. We know the stallion has made his way to the US, as we suspected he would. The police told us throughout the UK, coloured thefts are rife. What amazes me though, with all these new regulations on passports....HOW ON EARTH COULD THIS STALLION ACTUALLY END UP IN IRELAND!! HOW DID HE GET PAST THE PORTS.....HOW DID THE DEFRA VETS LET HIM SLIP THROUGH THERE HANDS, WHY DID THIS HAPPEN ?....!!

I cannot imagine how I would cope with something like this and am not sure I would ever be able to get over it, just the not knowing whether your precious horse was in good hands and worrying about what they were being put through would drive me mad. I really hope they manage to find her and reunite her with ehr owner. I agree with Gina, what is the point of having to go to the expense of passporting when it really doesnt make any difference at all to these people getting away with this sort of thing.
