I just can't believe your latest post! How on earth are you coping? I really hope Paul recovers quickly and becomes less of a worry for you. As Pam says, at least maybe your Mum might be of some comfort to you and can help you out a bit?
As for Curly, the poor, poor chappie. As if he didn't have enough going on. Everything crossed that the vet can help him out. Lots of healing vibes for you all winging their way from Lincoln!

Today has not been so good. just for a change! Paul is really bad, they just cannot decide exactly what he has! They are treating for pneumonia but are organising ct scans of the brain because of the headaches and also doing spinal tap? I do not pretend to know what any of this means..... He was given an injection tonight when I was in to stop him feeling sick, he had a violent reaction to it! shaking, vision completely altered, feeling very nausious, BP went up to 170/110 so obviously not good, temperature running at average 39.5. trouble is I can never meet his doctors as they go round before we are allowed to visit! I have spoken to ward sister about this tonight and she has promised to take note and let me know full details tomorrow. Curly is not good at all, I am actually worried about going back into barn as he seems to be 'giving up'.... He has massive infection in one hoof which i have been polticing, but he has not got up all afternoon, i have put feed under his nose and he eats some of it. I did phone vet but as she was on call in fairness all she could do tonight is more painkillers so I have left it to tomorrow at 9 when she is bringing x-ray machine along as well. just hope he makes it that far! maybe I am being paranoid now but its just too much. Trying to stay strong for those who really need it but skin giving it away... I have been prone to skin conditions before but now its errupted to sores alll around hairline....

Oh Tina, I am so sorry all this is happening to you. I do hope Paul has turned the corner by this morning. From past experience with hospitals and the NHS I've found you have to keep pestering and be very insistant on talking to the doctor in charge yourself. Right now you've got so much on your plate you don't need this extra hassle but maybe your Mum can help out with this? You are all in my thoughts and sending you all lots of strength and healing vibes.

Can you make a telephone appointment with the consultant or registrar? As Pam says, you do have to keep pestering but as next of kin you really do have a right to talk to the doctors. It doesn't sound as though Paul is in a very fit state to do it himself.
Hoping a praying that Curly is a bit better this morning and that the vet can offer something positive.
